From the first sentence I was drawn into this book.
Easy to read feels like the author is speaking to you. Even reading just the first few paragraphs I just had to smile. The humour is quite dry and self-deprecating.

Nell, the main character, is approaching her fortysomething birthday and her world has suddenly collapsed all around her. She has been living in California with her fiancé for the past five years running a café-cum- bookshop, living the dream. She could see how her life was going to pan out, marriage and living in the sunshine.
Suddenly the dream collapsed, and there she was no fiancé, a bankrupt business and no place to turn, so she had to return to England and start all over again.

The story continues in the same vein making me smile or even laugh out loud.
Can't wait to read this book
