A delicious heartwarming read
I loved this book and devoured it in only a few days. Alexandra Potter has created a joyful book that will resonate not only with 40 somethings but anyone who thinks they haven’t quite got life “right”.
Nell Stevens is newly single, the wrong side of 40 and at a cross roads in her life surrounded by perfect friends with their perfect families. We follow Nell as she navigates through the first year in her new life. The comparisons to Bridget Jones are unavoidable, this is very much Bridget Jones for the 21st century. However I loved the style and characters and despite the book being long didn’t want it to end.
The perfect book to lift your spirits. A really lovely charming read that I would recommend to anyone.
