I listened to this book on audiobooks and loved the way the story was told with Sally Philips narrating it. I couldn’t help but make comparisons to Bridget Jones whilst listening to it. Just an older more f***ed up version, as the title suggests.
An enjoyable read and narrative of how the pressures of life and expectations can affect you as you become an adult. There were parts of the story that made me laugh and then other parts that I found emotional, having been through some of those experiences myself.
A bit of a predictable story line. And I think half way through the book it was quick clear where the story was going and what was going to happen, and I was actually glad that it did go that way.
