Being a newly forty-something female myself and a fan of Alexandra Potter's Books, I was really looking forward to reading this one.

Much like the main Character Nell, I consider myself to not be #livingmybestlife either (and that was before the Corona Virus had touched down on to UK soil) and life has gotten a whole lot worse for most of us this Year since unfortunately.

Thankfully, I had this Book with it's Characters who are not only well written and likeable, but ones you can identify with and you begin to root for when they encounter another one of life's many challenges.

Without meaning to spoil this Book for others by revealing too much of this fantastic and funny Novel, I particularly enjoyed Nell's meeting and subsequent friendship with Cricket, a lady both older and wiser than Nell considers herself to be. A relationship made especially poignant when Nell's own established circle of friends seem to be living a lifestyle that she herself now doubts that she might not be veering in the same direction of.

This story was one that hooked me very early on and I really loved it. With Alexandra Potter's warmth and wittisism spilling forth from the pages, I think that a lot of other people should get a copy of this Book and block out this World whilst you read and fall in to Nell Smith's one!
