I really enjoyed reading 'Confessions of a forty-something f**k up'. It was very modern and an easy read.

I found this book very funny and it put a smile on my face and makes you think about things in your own life. It had me laughing out loud in places and I think this is a book that can relate to many women whatever their age!

I really liked the characters too especially Nell and Cricket. Nell feels left out when her friends start having children and after making friends with Cricket, an eighty-something widow they help each other through their difficulties and loneliness.

I have never read a book by Alexandra Potter before but I would definitely pick up another of her books.

Thanks to Macmillan, Alexandra Potter and Readers first for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
