Hilarious! Brilliant! Loved it !!
Absolutely brilliant! I loved this book, just what I needed in this crappy year. I laughed out loud and related to so much of Nell. If you like Bridget Jones and the movie Bridesmaids then you will love it. Like life it’s not all fun and frivolity and there are a few chapters that are grounding. Romance, love, loss, jealousy and two fingers up to all those inspirational # motivations. A real honest peak into a year in the life of Nell, a forty something year old who is so relatable and starts a podcast to tell all the other forty something folk that it’s ok to just muddle through and not be #livingmybestlife .
There’s over 500 pages in this book and let me tell you, it’s not enough! I really hope there’s a follow up. So I tried to think of a negative, to balance my review and the only thing is the cover. It’s dire. It’s plain and boring and nothing like what’s inside ! I hope it’s changed before public release. This hilarious book needs an upbeat modern cover, maybe even change the plain blue to a funky pattern.
