After the end of her relationship Nell returns home to the UK to try and start again. Hoping to slip back into the life she had before, she's greeted by ridiculous house prices, friends all married with children and her parents renting her old room out as an air bnb. Forced to flat share with a total stranger is not how she saw her life panning out in her forties.
I really liked the characters of Nell and Cricket as they strike up an unlikely friendship with a very late age difference. This book made me laugh , smile and cry. A very uplifting fell good tale that I really enjoyed escaping into. A tale of friendships, the destructiveness of FOMO and embracing opportunities when they present themselves and not comparing yourself to others especially with their online best self, you never know what is going on behind closed doors. A great read.
