This is an easy to read yet very thought provoking book. I really like the way it is written in short bitesize chapters. Nell has returned to England after ten years in America leaving behind a failed business and a broken engagement. She doesn't find the return at all easy. Her friends are now married, with children and busy lives of their own. The book is very funny in places but also looks at serious issues of loss, grief and depression. Nell meets Cricket an eighty year old recently widowed and the two become very good friends. Nell begins to do a podcast about her life which becomes very popular as instead of bragging about a wonderful, perfect life she tells it how it really is. Sometimes good and sometimes dreadful.
