As a fast approaching almost 40 year old (I'm 36 but 40 will be here in about 3 weeks the speed life feels it is going at) this book really appealed to me. The title was the first thing to pull me in.
The writing style really works well and the plot and the characters all flow really well.
There are many laugh out louds and many head nods of relatability. This is a good reminder that I'm not the only person who had their life planned out in my teens and 20s to still have no clue where I am going as I am nearing 40.
The relationship between Nell and Cricket seemed an unlikely one but worked well and was heart warming.
The last chapter felt a little confusing though.
This was definitely a well needed read at times of a pandemic and lockdown. It makes you forget what's going on around you and escape to a world of laughter and eye rolls
