Sometimes you read a book and although you enjoy it, you can’t relate to the storyline or connect to the characters. That can’t be said about Confessions of a 40 something f*ck up. Main character Nell is as relatable as they come. Jet off on an adventure of a lifetime, life has other plans meaning a return ‘home’ is necessary.. but life has moved on with you. Friends you once could spontaneously pop to the bar with are now tied down with commitments and your once bountiful social group shrinks.
A fun, relatable romance which can be enjoyed by readers across all categories. Hard to put down due to its ease of reading, I would suggest this to be an excellent holiday read.
The cover is great too, I love the minimalistic pastels and text, I think it works really well and stands out nicely on a bookshelf in a shop or library for all those cover buyers like myself!
