I absolutely loved this book as it is so completely relate-able without being over the top.

Nell is forty something, and has to return to the UK from her dream job in the US after her relationship and her business fail. She finds herself sleeping back at her parents house - although she has to check her room is available as her mum has it out on Air B&B.

All of her friends are married with kids and she feels like she is failing in life. This book follows a year in her life where she gets herself back on her feet, through sheer determination and great friend called Cricket and a mad dog called Arthur.

The characters are all believable and likeable (although at times they fall into the chick-lit) stereotypes and you know from the start that it will all end up ok in the end.

A perfect summer read.
