I really enjoyed reading this novel. It was an easy read but kept you interested throughout the story. The two main characters - the 40 year old in the title and her new friend Cricket have an amazing friendship and proves that age is no barrier to becoming friend,s with someone. I love how all the characters and friendship,s are portrayed and this is a very easy book to read. It also makes you feel less alone and more like everyone else is in the same boat. The ending is good and l really liked the style of the writing in this book. I haven't read anything from this author before but l will look out for this author again. This novel is a good easy read and is a book that is easy to pick up and read when you get a spare minute.
