I loved this! I thought at first it was going to be just like Girl on the Train, and while there is some similarities, ultimately I think this is a much bigger story with a bigger timeline and so many twists and turns woven through. The connection between the characters is unexpected and "big reveals" are placed strategically throughout the book rather than revealing it all at the end which made the pace really good and kept you wanting to read more.
It's similar to Girl on the Train in that every chapter is from a different characters perspective but it's third person instead of first, the time line jumps about too but over a bigger timeframe, and the book is full of unfaithful husbands and nannies of questionable repute.
There was some bits that were a bit uncomfortable to read as there was a lot of man bashing at times, but those parts need to be taken at face value as they are thoughts from characters who are being hurt. There are good men mentioned in the book but I would like to have seen them have a slightly bigger part to play. One more prominent positive male character is then later described as controlling and it seemed unfair. But overall it's a good book that will keep you guessing.
