I was very interested when I read the blurb surrounding the book. When I began reading, I was worried it was going to be a rip off of ‘Strangers on a Train’, thankfully it went another way.
Whilst I did enjoy the story overall, the right amount of intrigue and action, and maybe a twist or two! The story was interesting and largely held my attention, the main characters were likeable. The story wasn’t as predictable as I may have first thought.
I felt that the back story (or what I would class as the back story) was too much of a feature, it became confusing to keep up with at times, and sometimes it seemed you couldn’t see the wood for the trees.
I would have preferred if the story jumped around less, it would have helped me to keep my focus. I’m not a big fan of jumping between stories, secondary characters and time frames. It seemed a bit too full on at times.
