I got hooked into the story of "Confessions on the 7.45" from the first few pages, which is always a promising start! The story is written from the perspective of different female characters, which I liked. It tells the story of Selena who unexpectedly reveals a secret to a stranger she meets on the train home from work one day. Her life then starts to unravel around her. The story is not an easy read as it includes the topics of deceit, infidelity and violence. It also makes you think about right and wrong and how people can be generally bad but do good things and vice versa. The only reason I gave four stars not five is because the dark content of the book meant although I was really interested to read on to see what would happen and how the different characters lives would come together, I didn't always particularly enjoy what I was reading in places!
