The first couple of chapters were so intriguing it captivated me straight away! It makes you think what would you do in Selena's situation having just found out your husband is cheating on you with the nanny and then confessing to someone on the train who IS the other woman. I like how eerie Martha makes you feel and I was really invested in getting to know the two women.

However, reading further into the book I found it quite slow as it introduced more characters and I was getting confused with everyone's story and keeping up with who's who. Only for the penny to drop almost half way in the book that Pearl goes by a few names.

Once I got my head around the characters, it all came together and I did enjoy the storyline. You can see how certain experiences (in particular childhood experiences) can be psychologically scarring. Pearl wants revenge!
