This is a thriller and it centers around several characters, mainly Selena Murphy.
Selena, a mother of two boys, normally takes the 5:40 train home but when she misses this train, she takes the 7:45 train, a little extra time to herself before being a mother and a wife to Graham.
Her client's meeting runs late so today she missed her train and took the 7:45 train. Unexpectedly, she meets Martha and they share an intimate conversation. Where Martha tells her she's having a relationship with her boss. Selina discloses that she thinks her husband is having an affair with their nanny, Geneva.
Surprisingly, not only does Selena gets a message from Martha who she didn't give her phone number to but Geneva goes missing and she remains suspicious of the coincidences.
I think the author developed the characters well and created some suspense as each chapter refers to a different character. I would've preferred reading a hard copy of the book as I like to reread sections.
