Set in a backdrop of war and politics it's a tale that gets you right from the start. First book I've read from this author but it definitely won't be my last, it's engaging, thrilling and just a little unnerving and you get a glimpse of the fear and uncertainty that comes with unrest in a country. The characters are relatable and you get invested with them personally, you want to know how they are, what they're going to do, if they're going to be okay. The story is intricate and leaves you guessing but is in no way confusing. I read this book I'm a few days, I could just not put it down. It's an easy but compelling read and I didn't want the book to end.
