This book cover reminds me of the Flintstones from the 1980s in a good way! The whimsical illustration is a nod to the vintage heritage of cartoon carpers, brought bang up to date with vibrant colours and contemporary characters.
The central dinosaur looks friendly and goofy and makes you want to get to know more. The idea of a cow girl is refreshing and joyful and brings the Western to a new audience. The second character, more thoughtful and nerdy, provides an excellent foile.
I love the cacti and rocks, but I'm not sure if the ghostly shape is needed, it makes the page a little cluttered.
