A chilling read that had me gripped from the start. Although it took a while to get into the writing style, the plot had me hooked. Desperate to keep turning the page to find out what happened next. It's full of twists and turns and ups and downs - as soon as you thought you knew where the story was headed, it changed direction - keeping you on your toes.
Whilst the characters weren't relatable (or that well written) you were able to feel for them, you could feel every emotion they were going through, the pain, fear and hope. In some regards, it almost felt like the story was happening to you.
One of the things, I enjoyed about this book is the fact that each chapter was a different characters perspective so you could get to know each character and their reasoning behind their actions, whether good or bad. Along with the above, this helped you resonate with the character and feel for them and almost understand.
This is a very vivid and gory book, definitely not for the faint hearted!
