I like this cover, its eye catching and the illustration shouts young adult but also, it's intriguing as it doesn't give much away.
Both the premise and the opening pages of this book are appealing. I like stories that add a bit of history. I've read Mythos and Circe for this reason but didn't really enjoy either and was disappointed after hearing so much hype ..perhaps a tale of Greek mythology targeted to a young adult audience is my way in.
I like the language used in the opening pages, it is simple, but nicely descriptive and I found myself wanting to read on. I would definitely be intrigued to keep reading to see if this author can finally engage me on Greek mythology
