I wasn't sure when I seen the book was classed as a YA, I usually feel like I'm a bit old for this genre now, but this was a pretty good read. The opening is slow, there is a lot of time spent setting the scene and making sure you know there is going to be a lot of Greek mythology used as a backdrop. However as the story progresses it's a very clear image set for you and the scene in the "Threshold" is particularly vivid and well written.
