I love a twist on Greek Myths, but I didn't think I would enjoy this book as much as I did.

While it did start off rather slow, I found the pace really picked up once the gang entered the Underworld. I thought the atmosphere and darkness of the Underworld was very immersive, with some gruesome elements. There are quite a lot of references to different Greek Myths, they aren't entirely faithful, such as Orpheus and Eurydice, but this only added to all the twists and turns throughout.

I grew really attached to the characters, and loved how complex they were, not knowing who I could trust. Although, I do wish there was a name pronunciation guide at the back though as I found some of the names tricky.

Just a warning, this book ends with a cliff-hanger, which means I'm now impatiently waiting for the next book to be published.
