Firstly the cover for this book is even more stunning in person and perfectly captures the essence of the story.
The premise of this story is great, based on Greek myth, and filled with an amazing fantasy element. Making it feel as if it could have happened during Ancient Greek times.
The authors do a great job of quickly building the world for us and telling us who and what Deina is, in a way that gives us a great premise for the story to build on.
I loved the complex characters, with their own individual dreams and ambitions. That leads to some great twist and turns as a result.
The pace of plot was perfect with no feeling of a lull being present, and a steady pace being set.
I’m very excited for the next book, but also enjoy that it wasn’t left on too much of a cliffhanger and was partially resolved, leaving another aspect to be explorered later.
