I enjoyed reading this book. This is the first book I have read which contained Greek Mythology. I loved how this was incorporated into this book, including Orpheus & Eurydice, Hades and more.
The book follows the female protagonist Denia who is a soul severer (who serves the God Hades). The tyrant ruler Orpheus offers freedom and fortune to those who can retrieve his wife Eurydice from the underworld. Denis embarks on this adventure with others, whom she must ally with, but as the journey into the realm of the underworld, things take a turn..... Who can Denia trust? What will she do to ensure her freedom?
There was a good amount of fact and fiction which made the book interesting and created relatable characters, you were always left wondering who you can trust. There were several unexpected twists and turns! The characters were engaging and likeable. I also thought that the front cover was stunning! I cannot wait for the sequel, to see what lies ahead for Denia.
