You meet Deina, the main character, who is bound to the House of Hades as a soul Severer. She is sent on a task by the tyrant Orpheus to bring back his wife from the Underworld to gain her freedom.
I very much enjoyed the strong main character and the adventure that follows her. Her companions persist of a fighter, a scholar and a singer.
The relationship between Deina and Theron is very much love hate. It pulled me in with mystery and drama along with a certain character called Nat. Nat is very much a mystery and threw out the book it keeps you wanting to read more to find out who he is. What does he want with Deina?
