This novel was ok in some parts it grabbed my interest and in others i was almost ready to give up on the extract. I like the idea of the Severers and the way they have to work their time off to gain freedom.
I don’t feel as though we got to know any of the characters that well which made it hard for me to really connect with any of them.
The writing style was good and everything was very descriptive making it easy to build a picture in your head. Although I enjoyed some parts of the book, I did wonder where the novel was going to go.
I don’t think I would have bought this book as I didn’t really get into it as much as others I have read but if you’re into greek mythology and the gods then you may enjoy the book more than I did.
I think I would like to see other books by this author as I liked her writing style I just didn’t really get into the theme of this novel and the characters.
