Deina is forced into being a soul severer and her dearest wish is to escape, she is working hard to change her life and every mortal soul she takes to the dead realms helps her to work off her fee and attain her freedom. But King Orpheus offers her a way out, a way to gain her liberty quicker than she could ever imagine. All she has to do to attain it is help to free his Queen Eurydice from the underworld. But to do this she needs help so must trust those whom she is wary of to aid her in the quest. She must travel down to the Underworld fighting all the demons and hellish monsters along the way but can she do it? Even more so can she put her faith in those sent to help her? This was a great fantasy and as the end obviously leads the reader to expect more it's something I'm really looking forward to reading. A really great fantasy read blending myths and legends.
