i love greek mythology retellings and anything to do with ancient Greece so I was so excited when I won a copy of daughter of darkness!!!
the plot hooked me from the very start - Especially as the Orpheus myth and story has always interested me so this was a great take and retelling of the story!! The writing was engaging and the authors told the story very well in my opinion. I really enjoyed all of the characters - especially Deina, the main character - she was strong and you understand her motives and flaws.
Especially with the influx of greek retellings recently, this novel did hold its own but I do think that there were areas it could have been improved. while the plot was interesting there were parts it was a bit boring, and while Deina was a great protagonist some of the other characters were a bit boring.
however, overall I would recommend this book!!
