This is not the type of book I usually read so I'm probably starting out coming at this from a biased point of view that not in the books favour however, I'm pleased to say that despite this I actually found the book quite an interesting read.
First of all I'll start off by saying that I thought the cover illustration was really eye catching and I thought that it would make the novel stand out on the book shop shelf calling for people to pick it up and engage with it. I thought it would also be especially attractive to the young adult marketplace as it's pretty bold and not dissimilar to an expected young adult style.
The book itself struck me as being well written and flowed at a good pace.
The use of a Greek mythology theme in itself was engaging and added an extra dimension. It put me in mind if the Percy Jackson novels which draw upon mythology for their plot and have been pretty well received.
An interesting enough plot with lots of action and a bit if romance thrown in for good measure.
