I don't really like sci-fi and so that automatically dampens my opinion. However, certain sci-fi books have such an interesting premise that I can't help but be intrigued, even when it's set in space. That being said, this was not one of those books.
I don't want to be overly harsh because the genre is not my favourite and I feel like impact is definitely lost as this is a sequel. The blurb is clearly written to entice those who already know the characters and the world.
