Noemi, always on the edge of things, is now facing open hostility and mistrust from her team; back on Earth, Abel appears popular and well-thought-of, despite his secrets. I'm instantly drawn to the characters, want to know more about them, and want things to work out for them. The writing's gripping, and I'd happily go back and read the first in the series. The plot seems exciting, but I get the impression that the characters are the hook. I have to admit, I wasn't grabbed by the cover, but that may be just because this isn't a genre I'd automatically pick up. I'd be very excited to read this one.
