I'm really sorry but I had a hard time reading this and had to DNF.
I was looking forward to diving back into this world but I got 35% through and couldn't summon any motivation to continue reading. Nothing of interest seemed to be happening and I had to force myself to pick the book up to read, which was just making my reading experience unpleasant.
Ultimately, I was just bored. All of the excitement from the first book seemed to have just vanished from this instalment and I lost interest in the characters.
Maybe in the future, when I have time, I'll pick the books back up and read them back to back - I might get more enjoyment out of them that way - but for now I think I'll just leave them.
