Loved the main character
I really enjoyed hearing the thoughts of this books main character, as typically, books set in space focus on male characters. This book however, had a female main character named Noemi Vidal, who was incredibly strong and brave.
I also liked the way that the author allowed for us to see Noemi's vulnerabilities and fears, as this made her seem like a much more relatable and likable character.
I thought that the world building was good, and there was a good amount of background explanation which allowed me to understand the backstory and concepts which drove the plot forward.
The simple writing made the book flow well, and meant that I was able to focus fully on the narrative rather than having to unpick difficult language.
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy Dystopian or science fiction such as The Maze Runner or the Star Wars Series.
