I had to read the first book in this series, Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray... As I did not realise that this was a second book in the series.
However, saying this: I did enjoy this book right from the start. The second book to me, was not as enjoyable as the first book.
The story deals with a lot of moral dilemmas, problems and a love story that is split between two planets?!
The character development was very good - There is something very likeable about the main cast. I think that this book definitely was a middle book - with the goal of setting up the plot for the last book. The action only really happened in the last third of the book. Saying that, the last quarter was very enjoyable - I will still be reading the next book.
