Okay, teen sci-fi romance is not my usual cup of tea being brought up on EC Tubb and the legendary Dumarest saga. So with a pure mind and no expectations I read this book from ReadersFirst.
It is the second book of a series and I have not read the first.
Beneath it all the foundation is that of a love story between a human female and an advanced male android.
The female protagonist is hip and smart with a badass attitude that has put her at odds with her peers. She gets captured by an old enemy and must be rescued by her android lover who is on another adventure in another star system. So that's the gist of it really, a good solid space adventure story. The settings are well defined as are the space ships and androids. especially the androids.
It feels a little like a cross between the most recent Battlestar Galactica and star wars , no bad thing.
All in all a good well written story for those just a little younger than me.
