So this is a book about a Romans. If the date didn't give it away the names would. Just once I'd like to read a book about romans without there being a Marcus etc in it. Surely with some research more interesting names could be found.
This starts in prison with the jail boy being corrupted by the inmates or gas he? As far as I read it then jumps 11 years forward and then I lost interest. Too much crude language and boring politics.
Great for fans of Ancient Rome, good writing which flows well but not my first choice for a plot.
