This is the 2nd book in the 'Phobos' trilogy, and I have to say that I enjoyed it even more than the first novel.

'Distortion' continues the story of 12 teenagers, who were hand-picked for a reality TV show, with the intention of forming 6 couples in order to create human civilisation on Mars. However, they discovered on their space journey to their new home that the TV producers had sent them to Mars, knowing that the teens wouldn't survive.

This book picked up from where the first novel left over, following the journey of the teenagers as they land on Mars, attempt to adjust to their new environment and each other, and begin to try and solve how to avoid their upcoming deaths.

The action remained fast-paced in this novel, and I found myself not wanting to put it down. There were several twists that I didn't expect, which were an added bonus! I now can't wait to get my hands on the final book in the trilogy!
