Distortion is a great sequel to Ascension. It’s full of all the good stuff we got in Ascension: the lies, the betrayals, the backstabbing and a hint of love and romance.
There was also a lot of tension throughout the book to keep you hooked and leave you wanting to know what’s going to happen and how they’ll solve certain problems that arise.
I love that we got a some new settings: Mars and New Eden. They’re both written in a way that makes you feel as though you’re experiencing it along with each of the ‘pioneers’ and gives a good contrast to the changes to the point of view from the characters on Earth.
It was nice to see the relationships developing between the characters that we met on board the Cupido in Ascension, the way they interact with each other without the partition of the visiting room.
And the ending gives another good twist that makes you need the next one!
