I adored Ascension, so I was on tenderhooks waiting for this sequel, Distortion. Ascension introduced us to the twelve candidates who were flown to Mars while taking part in a speed dating show. The novel ended on a cliffhanger that revealed a secret one of the participants had been holding onto. But it was up to her to decide whether to share that secret with the other eleven participants.
Distortion picks up exactly where Ascension finished. I felt as though the sequel packed a lot more action than the first. It had such an interesting plot, the details of Mars and the base were excellent. I felt a part of the mission!
We also discovered a few more secrets about some of the twelve participants. The same as the first novel, this book also ends on a cliffhanger that reveals a huge secret!
Once again I'll be waiting impatiently for the third novel!
