This novel picks up beautifully where the last one left off. We see more of the team dynamics here, as we now spend more time with the boys, and we get to see how they interact. I liked the acknowledgement that the six minute speed-dating sessions are very little to base a relationship off, and how the different characters deal with that - Leonor embracing the challenge of knowing her pick, and Alexei growing suspicious and jealous.
The dialogue was occasionally a little stilted, and sometimes felt scripted rather than entirely natural, and some phrases seemed a little awkward, but that may be due to the translating process.
The plot continues with the threads from before, and also gains new elements, which keep the book feeling complex and layered. The plot twist at the very end is well executed, and may or may not be the resolution to an important point in the continued survival of the pioneers.
A wonderful read!
