Although I have not read Ascension , the first book in the series I was still able to enjoy reading Distortion .
The Genesis Channel ( think Big Brother ) is running a " live game show " Six young men and six young women who have paired up , but won't physically meet until they arrive on Mars. Here they will marry and in time have the first children born on the red planet . The first colonists . Sounds fine doesn't it ?
Unfortunately Leonor has discovered that just like the first garden of Eden this one has got serious flaws too. They are heading into grave danger and cannot do a thing about it , or can they ?
With only two friends back on Earth to help them against the wily and deceitful Serena Mcbee who is running things they will need all the help they can get . An exciting end to book 2 has left me intrigued enough to want to read Ascension now to see how it all began !
