This is part two of a space trilogy about twelve young volunteers who give up life on earth to take a one-way trip to Mars. Oh, and the trip is also a reality TV dating show, since the twelve must pair off and marry on arrival, and then start to populate the planet. The writing is somewhat clunky. I don't know if that is as a result of the original text, or the translation, but it feels a bit stilted and over-explanatory in places. The villains are just as evil as in the first book, the 'good' characters are just as wonderful and positive, and the whole story is just as ridiculous... but (and it's a big 'but') despite everything I love this! I can't wait for the third book. I want to know Serena's ultimate fate, what happens to the astronauts, whether Andrew and Harmony will save the day...
