Only part two of the novel it is not stand alone!
Should have a warning on the cover that this is not a stand alone book. I am most disappointed that this book is only part of the novel and leaves you on a cliffhanger so you have to buy the next part. This is acceptable in free ebooks but not if you have to pay full price.
The writing is a little lumpy in places where it’s been translated from French. It also seems to take a long time to say little, repeating things more than once to extend a good idea for one book into a series. The characters have little depth and their backstories have not been explained but perhaps this happens in the first book? I struggled to finish the book and wish I hadn’t persevered as I was left with too many plot lines unresolved.
