Well . Firstly, liked the cover , intriguing. Took me a while to get into the story. Its a stand alone story, I hadn't realised there was a first book , namely Maestra, but it doesn't matter . You get the gist within the first few chapters. The heroine ( anti hero ) takes a bit of time to get to like but eventually you get her. She's fighting to maintain her fragile , fake , existence. She thinks it's all safe but as with all secrets it's only a matter of time. ...
Looking forward to the next book to see where she ends up . Don't like cliff hanger stories as a rule but this may be worth the wait.
The writing is fluid and doesn't feel forced, so all in all , a good read .
