I read this before the first book as it wasn't clear that it was a sequel, but it did actually work as a standalone. It was enjoyable, but I think it was kind of lacking -- I expected more action and drama, but it was more of just a very mundane look into the life of a criminal. I think I would've enjoyed it more if I had read the first book, however this one still didn't intrigue me enough to go an pick up the third book. It was a very neutral read, despite the plot being very Bond like (I would definitely choose this over a Bond book any day, though), and was an overall quite pleasant way to spend some free time. I do not think I would re read this book either, but if you have a spare afternoon it wouldn't be a complete waste of time to read this book, and even maybe the first and last books of this trilogy. Not the best book in the world, but not a bad book at all
