How well do you ever really know those you love?
From the first couple of chapters, I was hooked. This story alternates between the past and the present from both viewpoints of each twin sister, Robin and Sarah. Two very different sisters with two very different upbringings, which becomes more apparent the more you immerse yourselves in their lives. And that's just what this book does, immerse you. You feel every emotion along with each sister through good times; few and far between, and bad times; on so many!
As you read, the layers just keep building, keeping you turning the pages and seeing where it takes you. It covers some pretty dark subject matter at times but I felt it was always dealt with as tastefully as it could.
This is the first novel by Holly Seddon that I have read but I will certainly be checking out others.
