This is the third book in the DI Cody series and the first book of this author's that I have read. Although it is clear that there are previous cases covered I am hoping that too much reliance isn't placed on knowledge of these as the book progresses.
So far this appears to be a gripping tale and, although it sounds particularly odd, I am really enjoying this tale of child abduction. The main protagonists do not seem to be evil or horrible (apart from the one girl they already have locked up and the one they have just abducted), they just seem to be sad, pitiful and desperate for a family. I am sure this will change though.
