DS Cody is back and looking for a missing girl. Poppy has been taken from her bed in the middle of the night and there is no clues as to what has happened. While they search for her Ellie is also taken in the same way. The race is on to find them before they are harmed but why were they chosen and by whom?
I liked the fact that this story is told from DS Codys perspective but we also see the parents who have lost them, the little girls in their room and the couple who have taken them. Malcolm and Harriet have chosen these children to be part of their family and to keep them safe but why and safe from what?
I enjoyed this book. The element of suspense is always there and there is also a fear that something bad is going to happen. I liked DS Cody and would like to find out more about him. I loved Daisys character but I felt, at time, the emotions and thoughts that were attributed to her were a bit to grown up for a 9/10 year old girl.
