As a parent this book is my worst nightmare! It’s a thriller set in Liverpool about a couple who can not have children naturally, so they take matters in to there own hands and begin abducting young girls. Malcolm suffered an accident at work and was left with brain injuries, these left him to have black outs these usually occur when he is angry and during such times he’s unable to control his actions. This becomes an issue when the reason he’s abduction these girls is to love, care for them and keep them from danger (at least this is what he keeps saying) during the book I didn’t believe this until the last two chapters when we find the reason why he chose these girls. I actually began to feel for Malcolm at this point. In a weird way he was serving a type of justice to the parents who have enabled such things to happen to there child!
